The Salons

We have 'OPEN' style salons, encouraging our customers to view our work through a large window in our reception area. Nothing is hidden. We love for our customers to see what we do in our air-conditioned environment.

Our equipment is all of the highest standard and we are updating regularly to improve service time with consideration to your pet's comfort.

Each pet is examined thoroughly on arriving at the salon to evaluate it's individual needs and requirements. Many owners complain that their pet has been 'shaved' somewhere else. However they forget to mention that their pet hadn't seen a brush in six months and the groomer at the time whomever he/she was, had no choice.

We have a code of ethics as professional groomers to abide by as set by the PIAA and are strongly opposed to animal cruelty, therefore we do not de-matt when in cases the knots in the coat are so bad that it would cause pain and suffering to attempt to groom them out or the risk of injuring or distressing the pet too great.

The best thing about dog hair is...it grows back. And the pet owner with the right instructions and grooming tools has the opportunity to get it right by the next visit to the salon.

Many pet owners get the wrong advice on caring for thier pet's coat until it's too late.

The staff at Animal Magic are all equiped with the knowledge and experience to teach each individual pet owner how to groom their pet correctly at home and supply the appropriate grooming tools for their breed and coat type.


Pets are secured on benchtops which keeps them safe & secure	Our bathing system is unique as all dogs are handwashed not hydrobathed.	Clipping & grooming should be an enjoyable experience Calm assertive energy is practiced at all times.

Many pet owners are unaware of what takes place in a grooming salon. From how the pet gets washed to how the finishing touches are applied, our skills are on display and our customers comment daily...

"How do you get him/her to just sit there?"

The answer...grooming should never be a horrible experience. Pets are handled in a way that they are not stressed. We talk to them and treat them as if they were our own. A low tone, growly voice is all that is required to settle most dogs and people wonder how we cast that 'magic' spell.

It comes from having many years of experience with dogs and being able to read their body language and communicate in return.

All our staff are trained how to handle even the most difficult animal, hence many come to us that other groomers have given up on, and we never use sedatives.
